WHERE THE PACKERS PICK
Green Bay has 10 picks overall. The Packers have one pick in every round, and two selections in Rounds 4, 5 and 6.
Here’s a look at where Green Bay currently stands in the draft order:
Round/Overall
1 — 29
2 — 62
3 — 92
4 — 135
4 — 142 (Comp.)
5 — 173
5 — 178 (Comp.)

HISTORY OF NO. 29
The last time the Packers had the 29th overall pick was 2017. Green Bay traded back with Cleveland for picks No. 33 and 108.
By dropping down, the Packers missed out on a chance to select home-state hero T.J. Watt, who went No. 30 to Pittsburgh. Instead, Green Bay used the 33rd pick on cornerback Kevin King and No. 108 on linebacker Vince Biegel.
Here’s a look at the recent history of the 29th pick, which shows the chances of Green Bay landing a quality starter are quite good.
GREEN BAY’S NEEDS
The Packers’ greatest needs are:
1. Offensive line — Center Corey Linsley left in free agency and left tackle David Bakhtiari (ACL) might not be ready for Week 1.
2. Defensive line — Standout nose tackle Kenny Clark needs some help.
3. Wide receiver — The group is mediocre, at best, after Pro Bowler Davante Adams.
4. Cornerback — Depth is needed to match up with Tampa Bay’s collection of Pro Bowl wide receivers.
5. Inside linebacker — A starting duo of Krys Barnes and Kamal Martin doesn’t excite anybody.
TEN WHO COULD BE PACKERS
Depending how the draft board falls — and whether or not Green Bay trades out of the 29th pick — these 10 players seem the most likely to be Packers by Friday morning:
1. Oklahoma State offensive lineman Teven Jenkins
2. Northwestern cornerback Greg Newsome II
3. LSU wide receiver Terrace Marshall
4. Alabama defensive lineman Christian Barmore
5. Tulsa linebacker Zaven Collins
6. Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley
7. Ole Miss wideout Elijah Moore
8. Oklahoma offensive lineman Creed Humphrey
9. Notre Dame offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg
10. Kentucky linebacker Jamin Davis
MAN IN CHARGE
This is Green Bay’s fourth draft under the direction of general manager Brian Gutekunst.
Gutekunst has been with the organization 23 years, including 13 years as a college scout (1999-2012), four years as director of college scouting (2012-15) and two as the Packers’ director of player personnel (2016-17).
His best draft pick has been 2018 first rounder Jaire Alexander, who’s blossomed into one of the NFL’s elite cornerbacks. Versatile offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins, a second round pick in 2019, is a close second.
Gutekunst’s worst picks all came in 2018. They include second round cornerback Josh Jackson, third round linebacker Oren Burks, fourth round wide receiver J’Mon Moore and fifth round punter JK Scott.
