Scouting the Green Wave: While UH has yet to play a game, Tulane is preparing for its fourth game in this coronavirus-impacted season. It’s been a wild start for the Green Wave, who needed an 18-point second-half rally to beat South Alabama and coughed up a 24-0 lead in a shocking loss to Navy. … Redshirt sophomore running back Cam Carroll leads the nation with eight touchdowns. He has 251 yards on 26 carries, an average of seven yards per carry. Against Southern Miss, Carroll scored four times against Southern Miss on runs of 52, 20 and 19 yards and had a 32-yard catch. … Freshman quarterback Michael Pratt will make his first career start. Pratt came off the bench and was 8-of-18 passing for 142 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another in a 66-24 win over Southern Miss. … Running back Tyjae Spears suffered a right knee injury in the Sept. 26 win over Southern Miss and will miss the remainder of the season, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Spears posted back-to-back 100-yard games against South Alabama and Navy to begin the season. The Green Wave lost Corey Dauphine to a torn Achilles tendon in the summer. … A pair of freshmen start on the right side of the offensive line – right guard Josh Remetich (6-6, 275) and right tackle Trey Tuggle (6-6, 295). … Coach Willie Fritz was signed to a seven-year extension this summer through the 2027 season. … Tulane has not won its first three road games in a season since 1998. … Green Wave last won consecutive games against Houston in 2000 and 2002.
