Maluma wasn't invited to be part of the Super Bowl halftime show - Page Six

Not everyone loved Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl.

Maluma fans were shocked to see Bad Bunny performing “Chantaje” with Shakira — even though Maluma recorded the hit song with Shakira, and Bad Bunny had nothing to do with the original.

Insiders told Page Six that Colombian heartthrob Maluma wasn’t even asked to take part. “He co-wrote the song and they used his image to even promote [the halftime show],” said a source. “It was crazy that Bad Bunny performed instead of him.”

A rep for Maluma didn’t comment, but the singer appeared to be happy the song made it to the broadcast. He included an image on Instagram and wrote, “Chantaje en el super bowl!” without tagging Shakira or Bad Bunny. He did, however, post an image of J.Lo and tagged the singer and J Balvin, who performed with her.

Shakira and Bad Bunny also performed the Cardi B track “I Like It,” which does feature Bad Bunny — and J Balvin, who wasn’t onstage at the time.
