My deepest apologies to all of you who've been busy writing fanfic about Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton's friendship: It looks like they might not be on the best of terms since Meghan and Prince Harry announced that they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
It already seemed like things were tense between the royal couples—a previous report said that Kate and Prince William were "still reeling" from Harry and Meghan's exit—and now it looks like Kate and Meghan haven't been keeping in touch. A source tells Us Weekly, "Kate and Meghan have not spoken since [the royal exit] happened." Oof!
That said, it doesn't seem like Meghan is too bothered by any rift in her relationship with Kate, cause she's too busy enjoying her new life in Canada. A source also shared that "Meghan feels free. She has never been happier. She’s happy to be out of London." In other words, it sounds like she too busy focusing on her new life with Archie and Harry to engage in any royal drama.
But it's not just Meghan and Kate who have had some tension since the transition: William and Harry reportedly had to have "secret peace talks" after an alleged feud. A sourced shared that they "decided to cut out all the toxic people stirring around them to deal with each other man-to-man as brothers. Given Harry is now permanently moving away, there was a realization if they didn’t sort things out now, they never would."
