Prince Harry spent much of his adult life being labeled as a “wild child.” He was often pictured going to clubs and hanging out with different women. Prince Harry also made headlines many times for his various antics.

Despite his image as an eternal bachelor, he had dreamed of being a father for a very long time. In 2012, he shared: “I’ve longed for kids since I was very, very young. I’m waiting to find the right person and someone who’s willing to take on the job.”

In 2016, he also said that he was excited to think about having kids in the future. He said: “I can’t wait for the day. So, you know, it will be fantastic. I’ve got a kid inside of me. I want to keep that. I adore kids. I enjoy everything that they bring to the party. They just say what they think.”

It seems that he finally found the “right person” in Meghan. The couple dated for just a year before getting engaged. In comparison, his brother, Prince William, courted Kate, Duchess of Cambridge for seven years.

How fatherhood has been for Prince Harry

Meghan gave birth to their first child, Archie, in May 2019.

While Prince Harry and Meghan are usually very private about what goes on inside their household, there have been hints here and there about what kind of a father Prince Harry is.

For instance, a source shared several months ago that Prince Harry is a very hands-on dad. He was also helping Meghan a lot during her pregnancy and when she needed to adjust to day-to-day life after childbirth.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry also has less complaints about fatherhood compared to his older brother, Prince William.

“I haven’t spoken to Harry about him moving,” Beckham told Entertainment Tonight. “I think he’s enjoying being a young father for the first time and that’s what we always spoke about. When you are a parent, it changes everything for you. He always needs to be happy.”

David Beckham thinks that Prince Harry is an ‘amazing’ father
