Kate Middleton has found herself in the middle of a growing feud between Prince William and Prince Harry. The brothers have experienced somewhat of a falling out in recent years, as Harry’s confirmed in the documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. With the two at odds, royal experts believe that Kate might be the one who brings them back together. How did Kate Middleton find herself playing peacemaker between William and Harry?

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry have fought rumors of a feud for the better part of two years. Their fight allegedly started when William told Harry that he should take things slow with Meghan Markle.
Fast forward a few years and Harry opened up about the reported feud in the recent documentary. In his interview, Harry revealed that he and William hardly speak to each other and have experienced ups and downs in recent times.
“Inevitably stuff happens. But we’re brothers, we’ll always be brothers,” Harry shared. “We’re certainly on different paths at the moment.”
Most fans took Prince Harry’s comments as confirmation that he and Prince William are not getting along, but there are other signs that point to trouble in paradise.
Earlier this year, for instance, Harry and Meghan left the Royal Foundation and started their own charitable organization, Sussex Royal. The couple had been working with Prince William and Kate Middleton on several projects prior to their departure, and their exit makes it clear that they are going a different direction with their work.
Why is Kate Middleton being forced into the role of peacemaker?
With William and Harry feuding, royal expert Kate Nicholl believes Kate is in a prime position to convince them to make amends.
According to Express, Nicholl argues that Kate has the perfect temperament to play the role of peacemaker between the feuding brothers. Kate Middleton has a reputation as being very diplomatic in her household and plays well with others.
“Behind the scenes, she’s known to play the role of peacemaker,” Nicholl added. “She’s aware it is not in anyone’s best interest to feud.”
Kate also used to be very close to Harry, which could give her a way in. But as far as Nicholl is concerned, she believes Kate will need to reach out to Meghan if she ever wants William and Harry to play nice.
Luckily, it is in everyone’s best interest if Prince William and Prince Harry forgive each other and move on. With Queen Elizabeth reportedly nearing retirement, the royal family will need their leadership as Prince Charles takes the throne.
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton expected to save the royal family
The royal family has been hit with a lot of scandals this year. Apart from Harry and Meghan opening up about their struggles, Prince Andrew’s connection to the disgraced financier, Jeffrey Epstein, has created a major controversy.
Andrew attempted to clear his name in a recent interview, but the move did not sit well with fans and was widely considered a PR disaster. It also led to Andrew stepping down from his post.
With the royal family falling apart at the seams, Nicholl claims that Kate Middleton is feeling pressure to save the royals and bring the family into the modern era.
“I think after a festive break, both Kate and Meghan will know that joint ventures to support the queen are not only part of their duty, but also good for the public image,” Nicholl stated. “[Kate] knows the pressure is on her and Meghan to save the royal family, to an extent.”
Queen Elizabeth will be turning 94 in April, and Nicholl says that she is asking all four of her grandchildren to start pulling their own weight. She obviously wants Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle to get along, both for their sakes and the future health of the family — but time is running out.
Will William and Harry make amends?
There has been a lot of talk about Queen Elizabeth retiring when she turns 95, which will happen in 2020. If the rumors are true, then Prince Charles would take over at the head of the monarchy, leaving Prince William and Prince Harry with much more responsibility than they currently have.
If the royal family is going to survive in modern times, the brothers will need to start getting along and put their feuding ways behind them.
If Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are successful, then we will see Prince William and Prince Harry starting to work more together as they put up a united front in public. There is no telling if that will actually happen, but something clearly needs to be done.
Harry and Meghan are not spending Christmas with the royals this year, so fans won’t likely see them again until after the new year. Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton continue to step out with Queen Elizabeth and be the faces of the royal family.
